I tend to get alot of questions from time to time about all the different kits. Ive had my kits shown at a few local cons and one of the most asked questions i get (besides of course what kit is this) Is what is a ver ka? Normally I get these questions from those that know their gundam history, but dont recognize the suit for its new design and details.
Ver. ka models arent from a special universe or ova series, but from the much celebrated mobile suit designer Haijime Katoki.
Katoki is most famous for his redesigns of the wing series mobile suits for the Gundam wing endless waltz movie to be bulkier and more stylized than their Tv counterparts. Since then he has continued to redesign suits in his own image, leaving his own markings on them, even ones that never had a hand in creating.
Version Ka models are always Master Grade, but they’re not necessarily more difficult than other MG models on the market. They do however Tend to have more parts and more details than the same suit in the MG line as well as having many many many more decals.

Here you can see the comparison of a regular Nu gundam, compared to a ver ka version of the same kit. Even without decals, you can tell the ver kas has more details than compared to the regular kit.
All in all Ver ka kits are quite nice though most kits seem to have a bit more problems with them being ver ka than their counter parts (looking at you Sinanju, with your weak knees) While others tend to be bricks because of how overboard katoki went with them, Like the Full armor Unicorn with how much weight is on it, you need a stand to hold it up and even then it cant have any movement due to how much weight is on it without magnetizing joints, that is for another topic all together.
Hope this clears up some questions about ver ka kits as well as exciting people to try them out. Cant wait to see your builds.
